Dear Friends,
We have been working all week to get everything ready for the reopening Masses at St. Max for this weekend. Our Masses will be at:
- Saturdays 5 PM
- Sundays 9 AM, 11 AM, and 1 PM
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 AM (reservations are NOT required)
We are looking forward to seeing your beautiful faces once again.
In order to meet the accommodations mandated by the government and Archdiocese changes have been made as outlined below:
- Masks: All persons attending Mass must wear masks and follow social distancing instructions.
- There is a strict limit on the numbers of congregants that can be present at each Mass (100) including priest, deacons, ushers and volunteers.
- You must reserve a seat through our website.
- For the 5 PM Saturday, 9 AM & 1 PM Sunday Masses, please arrive at least 15 minutes early
- For the 11 AM Sunday Mass, please arrive at least 30 minutes early
- Upon arrival ushers will assist you to a designated seat and help with any other instructions needed.
- Communion will be distributed in the hand at the end of Mass as we process out.
- The church will be thoroughly cleaned between each Mass.
- Continuing Dispensation: Msgr. Albee reminds everyone that our Archbishop Jose Gomez continues to dispense persons for their Sunday obligation to attend Mass. If you are a high-risk, vulnerable person or you feel uncomfortable about attending due to COVID-19, please stay home with the Church’s blessing. You will be back with us soon enough. Your health is very important to all of us.
- Video: Late on Friday, a YouTube video will be available that will walk you through “what to expect at Mass.”
- Personal Prayer in our Adoration Chapel will be available Monday through Friday from 2pm to 4pm.The Adoration Chapel will be accessible via the side door (signage present), masks are required. Because the room is small, two people at a time with 15 minute time frame if others are waiting.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we work through whatever bugs come up this weekend. But I assure you that participating in the Eucharist will be worth the bumps in the road.
Deacon Gary
