On
Saturday August 15 from 8 AM until 11 AM Project Response Ministry will host its second collection day to help support our local food bank,
Manna of the Conejo Valley. Our first drive was a great success and we hope that with your help we can have a repeat performance. The need to support our neighbors who are hungry has never been greater and Manna is helping to meet that need.
We are asking St. Max parishioners to open their hearts once again on August 15 and drop off food and dry goods to meet the needs of our neighbors. As many food drives have been cancelled or delayed due to the latest lockdown restrictions, Norm Lamarra of Project Response and Edgar Thatcher, Manna Site Coordinator, have coordinated a much needed response to the current difficulties of Manna and their many customers.
Please place items in your trunk so that we can get to them safely while you remain in the car. You can donate money as well. With your support we can reach out and help our neighbors in need.
In our previous collection our St. Max parishioners supplied a truck load of items plus $7,000 in cash/checks to buy so much more.
